JOHNSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE – Yes indeedy, seems there’s hope for law and order inna land when you read stories like this. We don’t need people taking pictures of us, how many times I gotta tell ya? Maybe soon enough, I won’t have to. Down in Tennessee, the long arm of da law knows what to do with smart alecks who take photographs of police: arrest them.

Sure, it ain’t really illegal to take an officer’s picture — yet.

Johnson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Scott Conover for unlawful photography.

“He says you took a picture of me. It’s illegal to take a picture of a law enforcement officer,” said Conover.

Conover took a picture of a sheriff’s deputy on the side of the road on a traffic stop. Conover was stunned by the charge.

“This is a public highway,” said Conover.

And it was not a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy as Tennessee code states. The deputy also asked Conover to delete the picture three times.

“He said if you don’t give it to me, you’re going to jail,” said Conover.

Under the advice of the Johnson County attorney, the sheriff would not comment and the arresting deputy said he didn’t want to incriminate himself by talking to us.

In an affidavit, the deputy said he saw something black with a red light which he thought was a threat. Conover was also arrested for pointing a laser at a law enforcement officer.

“At no time did I have a laser. I had an iPhone,” said Conover.

Down in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the water coming outta de ground ain’t the only thing too hot to handle. There’s also a chronic crime problem captured on this video. I forget which terror alert color it is when kids ride skateboards down a street, but this video’s got one of Hot Springs’ finest right on top of the problem, grabbin’ it by the throat in fact. Back off and let the hero do his work.

Video cameras…who needs ‘em?

Posted by Officer Bob

South of de border down Mexico way, the cops have had their hands full lately. Coupla weeks ago, a bunch a people got trampled when the police tried to clear out a overcrowded disco fulla teenagers. I don’t know why the Mexican kids are so skittish, isn’t everybody used to a buncha riot cops showing up in an enclosed space and and shoving people around to the front door?

Well, trouble takes no siesta for the federales, it seems. This week, it’s news of what dere calling “training” videotapes showin’ up with Mexican cops torturing suspects. When are these people going to learn about the dangers… of videotape? Never, I guess.

Two of the videos — broadcast by national television networks and displayed on newspaper Internet sites — showed what Leon city Police Chief Carlos Tornero described as training for an elite unit that must face “real-life, high-stress situations,” such as kidnapping and torture by organized crime groups.

But many Mexicans saw a sinister side, especially at a moment when police and soldiers across the country are struggling with scandals over alleged abuses.

“They are teaching police … to torture!” read the headline in the Mexico City newspaper Reforma. Video Watch parts of the video »

Human rights investigators in Guanajuato state, where Leon is located, are looking into the tapes, and the National Human Rights Commission also expressed concern.

“It’s very worrisome that there may be training courses that teach people to torture,” said Raul Plascencia, one of the commission’s top inspectors.

PHILADELPHIA, PA Yeah, I can’t believe it either. In this traffic stop video shot from a helicopter, we see several of our brave boys in blue caught up in some terrible business.

As the video clearly shows, a car filled with offenders stops and one officer hurts his hand on the car door. The perps respond by remaining seated in the car in a very threatening manner.

Following that provocation, the perps in the car savagely attack the patrolmen, repeatedly scuffing the officers’ shoes and billyclubs with their heads and bodies.

As you can see it took at least four heroes to subdue the mad-dog driver.

Boy, what about alla rampant disinformation on de internet? Here’s a clip featuring police detainee processing procedures. You know the drill. A lot of shoving and a big hero cop staying on top of a dangerous suspect.

But it says on the page over at YouTube “Chicago Police Beat Woman”

Excuse me, do you hear the accents on the people in the clip? This isn’t in Chicago, that’s somewhere down south, people. C’mon already. You gotta learn the difference between Dixie and Dick Daley.

Dayton Drive-Thru Drama

DAYTON, OH: Officer Michael MacDonald, perhaps exhibiting a Scotsman’s concern for thrift, thinks he was short-changed at the Wendy’s drive-thru window.

Now if you’re like old Officer Bob, you know that police never ever make any mistakes and that the people who work for minimum wage are thieving scumbags out to pick the patrolman’s pocket. That’s why we get out of our squad car to spray tear gas in the faces of people who we think short-changed us. You got a problem widdat?

Cop Porn

If there’s one thing I like to see in a video compilation, it’s a cop dumping a handicapped guy out of his wheelchair. Officers serving and protecting left and right – reminds me of why I joined the force, really. Pow!

This item comes to us from beautiful Waukegan, Illinois, famous for fishing, boating and now also for snot-nosed little bastards with video cameras that think they can tape cops whenever they want. Whaddo they think, that we work for da public or something?

Banks had his own personal story to tell of police abuse. His daughter and stepbrother were taken down with force and arrested recently as they sat in front of his home in the 400 block of Oak Street, enjoying the first day of spring weather.

The action that provoked the police response was videorecording a passing squad car, family members told the council.

Lateenya Blanks, 20, said the patrol officers stopped, got out, and challenged them, asking why they were doing it. Shortly afterward, other officers arrived in an unmarked SUV, Blanks said. The subjects were playing music too loud, so they reported placing the subjects in custody. In this incident, placing in custody involved two officers throwing the young female on the hood of a vehicle to handcuff her and punching Michael Harris, her stepbrother, while cuffing him.

Remember: we can put cameras wherever we want. Not you.
