Watch Where You’re Pointing That Camera, Tough Guy
Posted by Officer Bob
This item comes to us from beautiful Waukegan, Illinois, famous for fishing, boating and now also for snot-nosed little bastards with video cameras that think they can tape cops whenever they want. Whaddo they think, that we work for da public or something?
Banks had his own personal story to tell of police abuse. His daughter and stepbrother were taken down with force and arrested recently as they sat in front of his home in the 400 block of Oak Street, enjoying the first day of spring weather.
The action that provoked the police response was videorecording a passing squad car, family members told the council.
Lateenya Blanks, 20, said the patrol officers stopped, got out, and challenged them, asking why they were doing it. Shortly afterward, other officers arrived in an unmarked SUV, Blanks said. The subjects were playing music too loud, so they reported placing the subjects in custody. In this incident, placing in custody involved two officers throwing the young female on the hood of a vehicle to handcuff her and punching Michael Harris, her stepbrother, while cuffing him.
Remember: we can put cameras wherever we want. Not you.
